Acceptance and inclusion of the differently abled individuals remain a problem in the society we live in. The societal rejection and isolation faced by them and their families is increasingly difficult especially when they come from marginalized sections of the society. This leads to significantly higher levels of stress and anxiety among them. Individuals with disabilities or impairments have limitations and rarely get an opportunity to exhibit their talents.
Our initiative offers recognition, inclusivity and provides equal opportunity for these individuals to showcase their talent while being a part of this fun activity.
Splash is an art event to recognize and empower the differently abled individuals. Last year with the pandemic and subsequent lock down we introduced an online version of Splash, which was very well received by the participants.
This year we have reverted back to our original format of a physical event and will be taking individuals to the CSMVS Museum, Mumbai, and introducing them to the world of art and culture with a guided session of special educators. Gratification and recognition will be an important part of the event to encourage each individual to pursue their creative ability further.
