Story
SUYAM Charitable Trust was started and formally registered under Trust Act (Regn. No.1163/99) in August 1999 by a group of young college students, experienced social activists who were in this service field since 1987.
We work to improve lives in poor communities, Support youth in education and career guidance,Develop social consciousness in youth,Assist individuals in distress (social and personal),Network with like-minded groups and institutions to expand its impact.
We are especially concerned about preventing social problems relating to Child labour,Begging, School drop-outs, Early marriage, Teenagers, Families, by stressing child-centered education to facilitate holistic development of the child.
Our flagship school, SIRAGU Montessori provides free education to 400+ children Of which 100+ children are residential .We provide them free Education, notebooks, food, uniform, school bags etc. At Siragu we encourage students to learn and express themselves independently, and thus bringing out their inherent potentials and focus on overall development

Suyam Success Stories Continue………………...
During our travels, we would come across children with fruit vendors, tea vendors etc.
One such child is now 22 year old Surya Nagarajan.
Brought to Suyam in 2008 at the age of 10, now, this son of Suyam has successfully completed his B.Tech in food technology management in NIFTEM, Harayana. His 4 years fees was sponsored by HIMT, Chennai.
He has started his career with Gratitude Farms Private Limited
With your blessings and support many children like Surya are able to sprout from Suyam and flourish.

Dr. Dhasarathan Rajaraman
From Brick Kiln Chamber to MBBS Doctor
Dasarathan's journey with Suyam began in 2005 when Suyam Uma visited Brick kiln chamber to chamber to requesting families to send their children to school.
One chamber owner was kind enough to bring two brothers Dhasarathan and Dhanraj to Siragu.
Dhasarathan did his schooling in Siragu till 10th, also cleared IGCSE exams, sponsored HSS in Velammal, then with the help of bank loan and donors support he successfully completed 6 1/2 years MBBS MD in Ukraine, Back in India (New Delhi) he cleared his MCI exam and came to Chennai.
Now, he is in the process of joining one year internship program in a govt. hospital
