A Girl Child’s Education up to higher studies has been one of the major focus areas of the Suyam charitable trust from the beginning.

For our nomadic tribe community, we have been successful in bringing about a significant change in the marriage age of girls to 18 years from the earlier 13 years. Girl child education was a dream for 500 families of this community. Slowly but surely we were able to make this dream a reality with the pursuit of higher education by students like Maria, Sathya, Mohana Priya and more who have successfully completed higher studies. All these children are torch bearers of the community. Many of the girl students took on the task of helping out with the management of Suyam during the corona pandemic lockdown and are actively involved till date.

We at Suyam take care of girl children from the young age of 2 ½ years and nurture them till they recontribute to trust and society. We run the Siragu Montessori school, Siragu hostel for girls, Siragu Industrial college and Siragu teenage girls hostel to better serve the needs of a girl child according to their age requirements.

Alumni of Siragu are in varied fields of work. Biomedical engineers, Biotech engineer, Nurses, Physician Assistant, MBBS Doctor, Pursuing CA, Physical Exercise and Nutritionists and the list goes on.

This academic year, we have a separate hostel facility for girls and are going to increase the girl’s student strength from 50 to 112. We are as always depending on our well wishers for a good financial support, so that we can increase the strength without any fear.
