Sponsor education for rural disabled children in Santhinilayam Special School

One in every 10 children is born with or acquires a physical, mental and intellectual disability. Differently abled children are not sent to school for education in rural ares. This is because of the financial crisis of the parents. However, these parents want their children to be independent and to receive adequate education and Medical intervention.

Once they leave school, their options are increasingly limited in becoming empowered citizens.

Our Santhinilayam Special School in Paruthivilai, in Kanyakumari, caters to the educational needs and medical intervention of hundreds of disabled children. Free expenses for educational supplies and transportation services are provided. We give vocational training to the children and make them independent in their livelihood

Over 28 years, Santhinilayam Special School has empowered thousands of individuals with special needs and their families. This individualized programme for individuals with special needs will continue to support approximately 75 children and adults at Santhinilayam to function as independently as possible.
