Shifting Orbits Foundation is a non-profit organization that operates chains of After School Learning Centers in under-served communities with the focused mission of increasing the number of educated members in each of the communities they touch.

Each of the After School Learning Centers serve as an "Extended Home" providing the most safe and conducive learning space for students whom we prepare to eventually lead a movement of change in their communities. WE become their PARENTS and do everything we can to ensure they get the best.

Each year 15-20 students join each of these center in Grade 8 and go on to receive a "long and deep rooted support" in the form of tuitions/scholarships/soft skilling/financial literacy/mental wellness and practically everything they will ever need till they complete their college.

Established in 2018, SOF today impacts over 500+ families/2000+ dependents spread over 9 locations across Urban Bangalore, Coimbatore and Rural parts of Kerala.

Our hope in that in next 3-5 years we would have flooded the under served communities with enough educated members and started a "movement" of change in each of these communities!

What does the Learning Center provide?

We aim to democratize the after-school space and want each of our students to have same access to resources as their affluent counterparts. Which means they should have same access to

• Books (reference and text) and Stationary supply
• Ed-tech resources (Byjus/Upgrad/Khan Academy)
• Access to quality teachers/mentors/well wishers
• 24 by 7 backup power and Internet
• Computers and printers
• Daily nutritional snacks (fruits/biscuits/nutri-grains/bread)
• And finally a good and joyful furniture as anyone else in the world.

And we are determined to make sure that we make that happen for all our students!

How can you help us?

Poshana means nourishment, and Daan means contribution. Together, Poshana Daan symbolizes the gift of nutrition—providing our students with the strength and energy to pursue their education without hunger holding them back.

Education is a battle many of our students fight daily, and a simple, nutritious snack can be the ammunition they need to stay focused, healthy, and ready to learn. While generous in-kind donations from corporates and well-wishers cover many of our needs, we sometimes fall short of the budget to sustain these essential meals.

This is where YOU can step in. Your contribution ensures that no child has to choose between hunger and learning. Let’s nourish young minds and fuel their future—one meal at a time.

Where will your contributions be used?

For every Dollar or Rupee that you contribute , more than 90 cent/paisa will go directly for procuring snacks/food items . 10 cents/paisa may be required for transportation/admin and legal compliance costs.

We value transparency and every purchase bill will be available in our website as well as individually shared as a report to all donors of this program

Lastly - Your contribution also finds its way to our Gratitude Board where we send out our silent prayers (especially when aligned with your special days like anniversary, birthday and you give your consent to do so) to the universe!
