As a part of the International Women’s day celebrations, DXC Technology is running a drive to provide sanitary napkins to the tribal women from Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu.
According to a research by the English daily newspaper Business Standard, Only 57.6% of women in India use sanitary napkins which is expected to be even lower in tribal locations. Due to socio-economic and geographical factors, tribal women find it difficult to buy sanitary napkins and end up using cloths which leads to various diseases and infections.
Considering these factors, DXC Technology, in partnership with its NGO partner Bhumi has pledged to create awareness around menstrual hygiene and distribute sanitary napkin kits to tribal girls and women for three months. We believe that this drive can lead to major social impacts.
Here is your opportunity to be a part of a drive to make a difference by contributing a small amount for the purchase of sanitary napkins. Your help will go a long way in ensuring menstrual hygiene in the lives of the tribal women.
All donors can claim a tax rebate under section 80G of the Income Tax Act GoI. The certificate will be issued by Give India on behalf of Bhumi.
