Sponsor Sweaters for 1500 children from Sphoorti Study Centers in Tirupati

Sphoorti Foundation runs 60 study centers in Tirupati under the name Akshara Yagnam. We work closely with more than 1500 students in these centers.

All the children are from very impoverished neighborhoods or tribal hamlets. Some of the parents are rag pickers, beggars or landless laborers or auto drivers.

Sphoorti seeks to ensure a safe and secure childhood for these children by providing opportunities of schooling, health and career guidance. Our final aim is to ensure all children receive education and pursue careers consistent with their passion and aptitude.

Many of the children never wore a sweater in their lives. These warm clothes will keep them protected against the chilling wind till the end of winter.

Some of the children sustained burns while trying to get warmth from bonfires in winters. We can prevent such mishaps too.

We have received support for 750 sweaters so far. We need support for another 750.
