Out of every 100 Indian children who enrol into school, 70 drop out before they reach secondary level. This can mainly be blamed on the expense of sending a child to school, including fees and uniforms. In addition, families expect their children to work and earn money in place of getting an education. Adversely affecting their chances of finding good employment at a later stage.
Our Nurture Merit Programme provides financial assistance to disadvantaged but exceptional students from Bangalore for their college studies. We support them until they successfully graduate, subject to the student maintaining a merit every year. In addition to this, those selected are given books, coaching and training on communication and soft skills.
These laudable students deserve to complete their college education and your support can enable them to transform their lives as well as their families.
