"I grew up in a remote rural area and went to a government school. While I managed to complete my higher education, many of my brighter classmates couldn't. Today, they struggle to survive. When I saw this, I knew I had to act. Especially for girl children who, despite their academic achievements, are deprived of the chance to fulfill their dreams. I started sponsoring the education of girl children from my salary. Today, Vidya Poshak has supported the education of over 15,000 students. Many of our girls now hold jobs in top companies and government sectors. None of this would have been possible without the opportunity to learn," shares Venkatesh, the founder of Vidya Poshak.
