Sristi village

Sristi Village is a self-sustaining and inclusive community which offers marginalized individuals and people with intellectual disabilities the chance to live, learn, work, and generate income; and thus allowing them to reach their full potential. Sristi Foundation purchased 9 acres of cultivation land to set up Sristi Village. There, we want to promote a strong sense of community, where individuals feel valued and are given the opportunity to lead happy, dignified lives. In order to make our farm most efficient, we need to purchase a Tractor to help us plough our 9 acres of land. At the moment, we have to hire in a tractor every so often, which is a costly way of ploughing and also loses us time – we are not always able to secure use of the tractor, With our own tractor we would be able to overcome those problems.

If you are interested in further supporting our farm work, covering the costs for a Tractor would be amazing. With our own tractor we would be able to plough our land whenever it is the time to sew new crops. We would no longer lose anymore harvest. In order to finance the tractor and its necessary maintenance we could lend it to nearby farmers and would be able to generate an income covering those costs.

An own tractor in our farm would have a great impact on our farm but would also help the whole village to become more self sustainable. A Power Tiller which is available at all time helps us to sew the crops at the perfect time and therewith increases our yield. The fact that we could finance the tractor on our own by lending it to other farmers makes the investment a one time investment. As soon as we own the tractor we would be able to cover all costs by ourselves.
