Statewide Outreach on Farmers' Issues - 10 Years of RSV

The distressing situation of farmers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh requires Collective effort and Collective voice on issues. Large outreach effort in all districts across both states is the need of the hour - which brings farmers as well as well-wishers of farmers onto a common platform.

Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV) has been working on these lines for past 10 years, and now we are doing a special drive for Statewide Outreach Program in AP & TS using the occasion of 10 Years of formation of RSV.

We need your support to help organize this much-needed outreach.

District Meetings are being held on District-level farmers' issues, starting February 17. We are getting very enthusiastic response - Leaders of Farmer cooperatives & FPOs, Women farmers, Social activists, Teachers, Advocates, Students are all participating and joining hands for collective efforts. State-level Maha Sabhas are being planned in Hyderabad (March 20-21) & Vijayawada (2nd week of April). From these meetings, action programs are being planned on issues of farmer suicides, achieving fair remunerative prices, tenant farmers, women farmers & adivasi farmers.

Planned activities:

1. District Meetings in most of the districts of TS & AP
2. State-level conventions (Maha Sabha) in Hyderabad & Vijayawada
3. Training programs for active members
4. Other outreach programs such as yatras on specific issues
