Story
We have observed that rural children have an increasing aspiration to learn English. To disseminate quality primary education to rural marginalised learners with enhanced proficiency in English and Maths, we have partnered with Nanritam (https://www.nanritamefa.com/) and use their Filix School’s International award winning, unique playful activity based experiential pedagogy. We train teachers and volunteers, provide them with toolkit. The teachers conduct two hours classes thrice a week with rural children. The initiative is underway in 12 art and craft villages in West Bengal with support from Bargach Foundation till Mar 2024. With funding support, we aim to strengthen and continue the primary education support in the villages. The estimated annual budget for each rural education centre is Rs 3 lakhs catering to 30-50 rural learners.
