Support 1000+ children in Churu, Rajasthan, to have a safe and positive learning environment

We have witnessed time and again that most children, particularly those from marginalised groups, study in government schools and face tough odds in pursuing their education. Having been to different villages and schools, we observe that many students lack access to school uniforms, books, and a healthy learning atmosphere. Children wish to learn, yet resources remain inaccessible.

Currently, the Premanu Foundation supports 1600+ children in getting quality education through the Premanu Fellowship Program, which is in collaboration with the District Institute of Education and Training in Churu, Rajasthan and other stakeholders.

Looking at the poor condition of education in Churu, Rajasthan, our Fellow spoke with the villagers about the necessity of a healthy learning environment in schools and the importance of a community learning centre for child development. Motivated and inspired, they presented a proposal to Premanu Foundation in the presence of members of the village development committee, with the support of Samiti Chandel Nagar and the Sarpanch of the village. The proposal was to establish a community learning centre in the village.

Community Learning Centre: Premanu Foundation is developing a Community Learning Centre in District Churu for 1000+ children in order to create a safe and healthy learning environment and leadership development through educational and recreational activities.

The Community Learning Centre will feature services such as Remedial Classes for children, Development Through Play, a Community Library, and a Positive Learning Environment. The Community Learning Centre is being established to inspire and empower students, teachers, youths, and the community to pursue education and improve the learning environment.
