About Bhumi 🌍

Bhumi is one of India's largest volunteer-driven organizations, enabling 30,000+ volunteers annually to contribute towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through our Ignite and Catalyse programs, we impact thousands of underprivileged children and communities across India.

Established in 2017, Bhumi Pune has grown into a thriving community of passionate volunteers. In 2024, our strong team of 500+ volunteers actively engaged in diverse social initiatives. For 2025, we aim to expand to 800+ volunteers, reaching more children and communities in need.

Our Programs & Impact 📢

1️⃣ Ignite: Education for Underprivileged Children 📚

Ignite is Bhumi's flagship education program, helping underprivileged children in 22 centers across Pune through 9 key projects: 

LEM (Maths): Building strong numerical and problem-solving skills 🔢 

LES (Science): Encouraging curiosity and scientific thinking 🧪 

SPO (English): Enhancing language and communication skills 📖 

Kanini (Computers): Digital literacy and coding fundamentals 💻 

Lakshya (Life Skills): Personality development and career guidance 🎯 

Artoons (Arts): Creativity and self-expression through various art forms 🎨 

Eco-Champs (Environment): Awareness and activities promoting sustainability 🌍 

Destep (Dance): Physical fitness and artistic expression through dance 💃 

Yantra (Robotics): Hands-on learning with robotics and technology 🤖

🎨 Activities: Weekly classes, educational workshops, mentoring sessions 📦 Required Inventory: Stationery, art supplies, study kits

💰 Annual Cost: ₹ 25,000

2️⃣ Catalyse: Civic Engagement & Social Welfare 🌱

Catalyse focuses on driving social change through community-driven projects under 5 key areas: 

🌍 Think Green: Tree plantations, clean-up drives, birdhouse making and seedball creation 🌿 

🐶 PAWS: Animal welfare activities including dog feeding, shelter cleaning, vaccination drives, and dog bed making 🐾 

💙 Care for Souls: Visits to old age homes, blanket donations, mental health awareness, and dance therapy ❤️ 

👚 Women & Gender: Sanitary pad donation drives, menstrual awareness, and gender equality initiatives 

📚 Scaled Campaigns: Good Deeds Day, Daan Utsav, book donation drives, and community outreach programs 🎁

📦 Required Inventory: Saplings, gloves, sanitary pads, pet food, educational material, blankets, and art supplies

💰 Annual Cost: ₹35,000

3️⃣ Refresh: Events & Fundraising for Greater Impact 🎭

Refresh supports Bhumi's mission by organizing fundraising and engagement events for children and elderly communities: 

⭐ Nakshatra Arts (500 kids in June/July 2025): A grand celebration of talent and creativity 

🎨 ⭐ Nakshatra Reachout & Summer Camps: Hands-on learning, fun activities, and mentorship ☀️ 

📦 Required Inventory: Event materials, art supplies, and logistical support 💰
