Empower the Unheard: Support The Lepra India Trust

Founded in 1999 by the late Shri. Navin Chawla (Retd. IAS), The Lepra India Trust has dedicated over 25 years to serving New Delhi’s most vulnerable. Originally established to support families affected by Leprosy, we have evolved into a vital hub for inclusive education, speech therapy, and vocational training for children and youth with diverse disabilities from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).

Our Impact

We bridge the gap between isolation and independence for children aged 3–18. Our holistic model includes:

• Early Intervention: Individualised speech therapy and non-formal education for children with diverse disabilities, including Hearing Impairment, autism and related Neuro disorders, and Intellectual, multiple, & Physical disabilities. The children will take examinations for their respective classes under the aegis of the National Institute of Open Schooling. Our aim is to ensure that our children pass the class X examination.
• Creative Growth: Art, craft, and theatre workshops to build confidence and social integration.
• Skill Development: Computer literacy and vocational certifications for EWS youth to ensure long-term financial independence.
