Fearing that their daughters will be kidnapped, raped, and forcibly converted, many parents in Pakistan have not sent their children to school. As a result, most refugee girls lack basic literacy and numeracy skills when they arrive in India. Others are forced to drop out of school early to contribute to the family income, as their parents' job opportunities are very limited, and their earnings are rarely enough to sustain the family. Instead of learning and pursuing their dreams, they are often condemned to housework instead.Help us to change this! Help us secure their right to a life full of opportunities for growth and development by supporting our education centers in the refugee camps of Majnu Ka Tilla and Signature Bridge in Delhi.Every contribution, no matter how small, has the power to uplift the lives of these refugee children and bring them one little step closer to their dreams!

Humanitarian Aid International (HAI), was founded in May 2016 with the overall mission of working globally as an Indian organisation, while being headquartered in India, to alleviate poverty, hunger and suffering. As of now, our work in confined to India only across four thematic areas, i.e., 1) humanitarian response, 2) disaster risk reduction, 3) climate change &amp; adaptation and 4) humanitarian advocacy. Since the inception, HAI has responded to almost every major disaster in India. At global level also, HAI is well-connected with some key global processes, including the UN led Agenda4Humanity and Grand Bargain. HAI currently hosts the global secretariat of Charter4Change. HAI is also one of the founders and international coordinator of Alliance for Empowering Partnerships (A4EP). HAI is also member of ADRRN and United against Inhumanity. HAI is also part of several committees of Start Network, including the Membership Committee. HAI is also steering committee member of World Humanitarian Action Forum.HAI is also trying to integrate technology in disaster management, and has established Drone for Humanity (DfH) platform for this purpose. The DfH has four features, i.e., 1) post-disaster damage &amp; loss assessment, 2) search &amp; rescue support to disaster management forces, 3) airdropping of lifesaving support and 4) developing digital maps of disaster/climate hotspots to plan for durable solutions.HAI's refugee programme is its flagship programme. HAI works with refugees from Pakistan and camping in Delhi, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Our work with them spreads across five domains, i.e., education, health, livelihoods, basic amenities and legal assistance.
