Support education of 5 orphan girls

Jahnavi is 10 years old. Her parents died a few years back. Her grandmother used to take care of her. As she is very old, she approached Child Welfare Committee (CWC) which referred her to the Manasu home. Her grandmother died last year. We joined Jahnavi at Minerva school. She is now studying 5th class. She is very happy that she can go to school. She is also learning to play chess from a national coach and is taking up Karate classes. Manasu's home is her new home. 

Many children who lost their parents or are highly vulnerable need a safe place and need to be taken care of. Manasu home provides them with a safe place to stay and ensures their education. Though we can raise funds to meet food costs, we are struggling to meet their education costs. It is raised on yearly basis and there is always uncertainty.

Your support will help the children continue their education. The donations will be used to educate the girl children who stay at Manasu home. The children will attend online classes, till the school will be open. They will use the laptops and smartphones available at home. Some of the elder children will help the younger girls to finish their home works. In the evening, the tuition teacher will come. The teacher will help the children in understanding the concepts and helping them finish their homework. Some of the children struggled to follow mathematics and language subjects. When the schools are open the children will attend the schools. We aim to help all our children finish school and later join college.

For nearly 15 years Manasu home is providing care and support to girls who are orphans or come from families with abuse or vulnerability situations. The home provides many facilities like safe stay, education, vocational training, etc. Manasu Home got good recognition and reputation in Visakhapatnam. It continues to be the only girl care centre that provides care and supports exclusively for girls in the city. All the children are sent to good schools in the region depending on their interests and education levels. After completion of school, the children go to college and take up jobs. Some of the children have finished engineering, polytechnic and pharmaceutical course and are working.
