Support High-Quality Education in Government Schools

India is home to 6% of the world’s poor, with 130 million of her children relying on the government education system to escape poverty cycles and gain an opportunity to thrive in life. Yet, the 10.8 million government schools  fail to deliver quality learning as most remain under-budgeted and understaffed. This leaves the enablers of the system without the capacity, mindset, and learning tools to provide high-quality learning, denying India’s children the opportunity to use the power of education to overcome social inequity and impoverishment.

Simple Education Foundation (SEF) is on a mission to reinvent India’s government education system by providing high-quality learning to all children to fulfil its vision of empowering children to build a better tomorrow. 

SEF engages with either one or all key enablers that impact the life and learning of a child - Principals, Educators, and Parents and builds their capacity to be aware, invested, and empowered in taking ownership of their schools and putting it on the path of excellence for every child's holistic development.

Directly at the school level, in 2022-23 SEF will work with 11 schools to demonstrate them as Centres of Excellence across Delhi (urban) and Uttrakhand (rural), providing high-quality learning to over 1600 children.At a systems level, we are working with the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Delhi on an educator development program, Udaan, which influences 80,000 public educators from 2,500 schools in delivering high-quality learning to 25,00,000 children over 3 years.

SEF prepares the enablers of learning to provide high-quality learning by integrating 21st century skills & socio-emotional skills with academic learning, daily. Hence transforming government schools in learning, leadership and culture. Through our programs, our goal is to:
