Purpose of the drive:
Despite the importance of Safai Karamcharis in ensuring Clean India; they live in dire conditions and perish.
Cost: You can support now one Safai Karmachari with just 35Rs by providing them UV Eye Protection glasses and make him safe for one year from the eye infection. Safai Karamcharis normally include persons engaged as ‘Sweepers‘ or ‘sanitation/cleaning workers‘ in municipalities, government and private offices. These sanitation workers face many problems during the execution of the task and which has ill after-effects.
One of the major concerns is an eye infection. Eye infections occur when harmful microorganisms — bacteria, fungi and viruses — invade any part of the eyeball or surrounding area. This includes the clear front surface of the eye (cornea) and the thin, moist membrane lining the outer eye and inner eyelids (conjunctiva).
Our eyes need protection from harsh dust and dirt particles that affect the delicate eyes. Eyes help us to see the world so why not provide it with the foremost care and protect it. Keeping the same perspective in mind, United First is initiating this noble drive to support all the Safai Karmachari by gifting them UV protection glasses to prevent eye infection.
