Hemanth hails from Penugonda town, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.
His father died of heart attack in 2015 while he was on a pilgrimage to Tirupati. His mother is illiterate and is dependent on her in-laws.
Hemanth scored 85% in Intermediate First Year. and is currently studying in Inter Second Year and is planning to be an Engineer in the future.
