India is home to 256 million adolescents, yet most students struggle with career uncertainty due to a lack of guidance and exposure. Government school students, especially from marginalized communities, have limited access to mentors, resources, and opportunities. The counselor-to-student ratio is alarmingly low, with fewer than one counselor per 10,000 students, even in resource-rich states.

Aritri always dreamed of becoming a Chartered Accountant, inspired by her father’s banking career. But through CareerShala, she discovered a passion for software programming —something she never thought possible with her commerce background. She joined Navgurukul’s tech program, built her coding skills from scratch, and is now pursuing a BCA, aspiring to be a front-end developer. “Alohomora helped me explore different possibilities, build confidence, and take concrete steps toward my career,” she shared.

At Alohomora, we empower students like Aritri by equipping them with skills, exposure, and mentorship to make informed career choices. In 2024, we supported over 50,000 students across Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand through government partnerships. We also collaborate with Isaksham, Project Potential, and UNICEF YuWaah, reaching students in Umaria, Kishanganj, Jind, and Begusarai, ensuring career exploration opportunities for rural and tribal youth.
