Support Special Care Kids by Supporting Bharat Sangeet Utsav

In India, there are significant hurdles for obtaining resources such as education and employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism and others.

Vidya Sagar runs several programs to almost 4000 individuals with disabilities. The focus has been on high quality delivery of services, early intervention, special education, physical, speech and communication therapy, vision training, occupational therapy, co-curricular activities, counselling, vocational training, exploring and creating employment opportunities and training of resource persons to work in the field of disability. Vidya Sagar will benefit from money raised from various events to support their noble cause.

Carnatica, is a non-profit organization that strives to serve the community by educating, energizing, expressing, entertaining and elevating people’s lives through music. In the past, Carnatica has been instrumental in bringing together the Indian classical music community world-wide by organizing concerts for some very worthy causes.

World renowned musicians at the Bharat Sangeet Utsav (BSU) 2017 event are coming together to raise awareness about the challenges faced by intellectually challenged individuals. In order to support Vidya Sagar to rehabilitate these individuals, we have dedicated Bharat Sangeet Utsav, 2017 to Vidya Sagar and will contribute all proceeds from donor passes after expenses to them. All donors will receive a link to the webcast of the entire event spanning 7 days.

Bharat Sangeet Utsav (BSU) will feature world renowned musicians who are performing to create awareness to the people about this very worthy cause. BSU is in it's 13th edition this year and over the years fans for this festival have thronged the venue in several thousands making this a very large event. We believe that this can be an important platform to showcase Vidya Sagar's efforts for these challenged individuals. Further, the proceeds generated from the event (donor passes) will serve to benefit the affected individuals. We also hope to reach out to people to underscore the importance of supporting intellectually disabled kids and adults and providing them independence and sustenance.
