Kurumbapatti is a dryland village located in Karur district, where Karkalaam - literacy program takes place. ABCD is in mission of creating first generation graduates in the underprivileged rural community - daily wagers, single parent, physically challenged children. Immediate action is needed in making the village children use their full potential and put an end to literacy poverty - inability to read, write and calculate at their grade level. Karkalaam aims to strengthen the foundational literacy, skills and physical education.
