Support Harsh Vardhan Singh – A Champion of Life and Sport

Born with a rare condition—just one kidney—Harsh Vardhan faced an uphill battle early in life. When that kidney began to fail, a transplant became his only option. His mother stepped in as his donor, and after initial complications with rejection, Harsh emerged stronger than ever.

A passionate athlete who played handball at the state level during school, Harsh’s passion for sports reignited after his transplant. In 2023, he proudly represented India at the World Transplant Games in Perth 2023, competing in petanque and darts, and made the nation proud by winning a silver medal in the Darts Mixed Team event.

 Since then, Harsh has continued to represent India on the global stage, earning multiple medals in international petanque tournaments.

Now, he is preparing for the World Transplant Games 2025 in Dresden, Germany, where he will compete in:

·     Archery – Singles & Team Events

·     Petanque – Singles & Team Events

·     Darts – Team Event

Why Harsh Needs Your Support

Life after a transplant is not easy. Transplant recipients must take life-saving immunosuppressive medications for life, which are expensive and non-negotiable. These medications are the first financial priority—and in case of medical emergencies, savings are absolutely critical.

Spending those savings for participation in international games is incredibly difficult—and risky. And yet, Harsh continues to train and represent India, not just for medals, but to inspire others with the message:

 “There is life after organ transplantation.”

Despite their courage and achievements, transplant athletes in India receive no government support. All expenses—travel, accommodation, gear, and entry fees—must be self-funded.
