While the lack of access to specialized facilities kill most patients, the lack of information and poverty kills the rest. Only 2,000 in 2,00,000 patients get Kidney Transplant each year, causing the death toll to double in the last 10 years.

Although government schemes make dialysis available at no cost, it can only prolong life but not cure the ailment. Only successful Kidney Transplants can save the patient from death.
