Supporting Women's Livelihood and Children's Education post COVID flare up in INDIA

If COVID 19 flare-up in India was scary, the aftermath is going to be brutal.

Reports from the ground tell us how families have lost their only earning member to COVID. Plenty of them have lost their jobs due to the lockdowns. Schools have been shut for ~14 months now. Women and children will be the worst off. It's the gravest danger India has faced since 1947. Social outcomes in the country have been set back by decades. It will take all the energy and resources we have to ensure poor people don't suffer more.

Saarthi Education is a Non-profit organisation that solves the twin issues of Women's employment and Children's Education. Our model employs women from low income communities to go door to door and deliver Saarthi's personalised learning solution to children and mothers. We use technology and data to ensure each and every child in the system practices and progresses every day.

Our internal RCT results show that children who get Saarthi grow 4 times more in their academics as compared to children who don't! All this is done by women in the community itself who get a chance to earn a stable income as part of Saarthi.

We aim to provide education to 5000 children over the next year. This will also result in employment for 100+ women in the communities. Every rupee that you donate will ensure a child recovers on the learning path and doesn't drop out of school. It will also give a woman from a low-income household a chance at survival.
