Story
Lakshmi loves to draw, she counts fast with her fingers and in her mind and loves stories. Her Favourite place in our Vanavil campus is the library. Lakshmi is underweight and has been anaemic from birth. Her parents work hard but they still struggle to have a roof for their family.
Lakshmi is a child from the Boom Boom Mattukarar Aadiyan Nomadic Tribe. 10% of India's population is Nomadic/ Denotified/ Semi Nomadic Tribes (NTDNT). That's 14 crore fellow citizens. The Nomadic Tribes are unable to access the state welfare measures due to lack of documents. They face discrimination and stigma due to historical labeling as 'criminals'
