Providing life and security to the soil.
1) Chemicals are killing soil bacteria. 2) Hardening of soil due to excessive fertilizer application. 3) Due to the hardening of the soil, rainwater does not drain into the soil. 4) Loss of water holding capacity of soil causing water stress to crops leading to loss of yield or reduction in production. 5) Soil becoming silty and harmful to living animals and bacteria. 6) Food grains from chemical farming can affect human health in the form of cancer. 7) Land becoming barren. 8) Future Food - Major problem of grain spoilage and endangering human life. 9) Problem arising from burning of crop residues on available land. 10) Progress towards future degradation as development.
Strategic actions and remedial plans are indicated under this project with a view to improving soil quality. In this project, people participation work and people participation based works, human development of the villagers, creating awareness among the villagers, organic fertilizers and liquid production by using local trees, necessary tools that can be produced at minimum cost, increasing the quality of the land with maximum emphasis on the use of available resources on the farm. And the tasks used in the demonstration are as follows. 1) Providing information regarding the current condition of the land by training the villagers in the village and demarcating the area by forming consumer groups according to the agriculture in the village. 2) To inform the consumer groups about the benefits of compost manure, green manures, biocides, ten-leaf extract etc. by using the available resources and how financial savings can be made. 3) To create a demonstration plot and distribute the required waste decomposer, S9 culture etc. to the members of the consumer group as per the target and get it from them. 4) To solve the problems faced by the consumer groups by making regular visits to them. 5) Testing soil quality by halving the amount of chemical fertilizers and solutions by suggesting the use of prepared fertilizers and solutions.
Care should be taken to ensure that the soil does not become barren by proper use of water and chemical fertilizers in agriculture.
According to the FAO, if there is to be enough food for all to meet today's global food demand, 600,000 hectares of agricultural land will have to be brought under new cultivation every year. It does not seem possible to bring new agricultural land under cultivation in our country-state.
Therefore, the productivity of the available land has to be increased. And this is possible only by saving agricultural land, increasing the amount of carbon in the soil, and strict agricultural planning.
