The Sound of Hope: Running for Little Ears

Our dad, Prashant, is running the Berlin Marathon with the purpose to raise funds for children with severe hearing loss. We have partnered with Dr. Ameet Kishore and the I Can Hear Foundation in New Delhi, to conduct cochlear implant surgeries and rehabilitation with the funds raised.

According to the National Medical Journal of India, between 6% to 16% of children in India have hearing loss, a statistic which increases for children in rural areas. Hearing loss is a silent struggle, which impacts a child's ability to learn and speak, interact with their peers, and participate in social and educational interactions.

Cochlear implant surgery is an expensive procedure, and out of reach for young children from under-privileged families. We hope that our Sound of Hope campaign gives the gift of hearing, the gift of a brighter future, and the gift of dreams to those who need it the most.
