Campaign by Blind welfare council Dahod
“Children with disabilities in rural areas are seen as a curse. Their parents, at times, tie them up and keep them locked up inside the house, without food or water, hoping to drive away evil spirits. They live a life worse than even animals', says Yusufi Kapadiya, Founder, Blind Welfare Council, an NGO that has been working to support the education, therapy, and care of kids with disabilities.
Driven by a commitment to save children from the suffering he faced as a person with disabilities, Kapadiya has become the only hope for countless kids in need from impoverished tribal backgrounds. Yet, despite his efforts, countless more remain trapped behind closed doors, devoid of care. Kapadiya is in urgent need of support to reach many more children. Donate now to stand with him

Abused, neglected & trapped due to disabilities
Detailing the dire circumstances faced by these vulnerable children, Kapadiya paints a grim picture. "Owing to constant abuse, gradually the mental health of the child deteriorates even further," he explains. "The child's life becomes worse than hell. I feel their fate becomes even worse than death because they are just incapable of bearing this extent of torture."
Despite the desire of many parents to provide care and treatment for their children, poverty renders them helpless witnesses to their suffering. "There are many parents who want to care for their child and give them therapy and treatment, but they are just incapable," Kapadiya emphasises.
The urgency of support for this cause cannot be overstated. Since its inception, BWC has transformed the lives of hundreds of children, offering vital therapies and educational support. However, the organisation faces a daunting challenge in the form of limited resources. "At this time, there are many more children who need to be enrolled urgently but, strapped for resources, we cannot admit these children," Kapadiya reveals.
Urgent need for donation
Kapadiya is urging people to rally behind this cause, recognising the potential of these children to thrive if given the opportunity. "I request each one to come forward and support this project as much as possible so that these children can make a brighter future for themselves," Kapadiya appeals. "These children can prove to the world that they are indeed exemplary. All they need is a chance. Donate now to help them."
