Story

1.      : Dantaramgarh Tehsil is the most backward among Sikar District is Rajasthan due to lack of Industries, Natural water sources, educational institutes and other Income sources.

2.      Dantaramgarh tehsil is deserted area so the Govt. Of Rajasthan has declared “Dark John” from 1999. The inhabitants depend only rain for agriculture. They have to migrate for the wages to cities other states or gulf countries.  

3.       Dantaramgarh tehsil’s inhabitants are unaware for their consumer’s rights due to lack of             education or no other Ngo or Govt agency are engaging such awakening program.

4.       About 78% inhabitants of Dantaramgarh  belonged to SC, ST, OBC. Who are so poor that they are tempted for live hood.

5.      They are depend only wages which may occur other states. So they have to migrate for earning .

1.    No.of Participants:- 200 (two hundred) Consumers (both men, women & College’s Student) Participants in one camp and 1000 consumers participial’s In 10 Camps from Tehsil- DantaRamgarh dist. Sikar (Rajasthan)

2.    Main Objectives :- The main Objectives of proposed project area –

1)   To Organize 2 days Legal Consumer Awareness Camp for Rural.

2)   To impart Legal Awareness to rural men and women (Consumers) regarding their rights so as to face the challenges in real life.

3)   To sensitize the knowledge of their rights and duties ultimately to be able to save their exploitation .

       5   Resource Person:-   1) Advocates

                                                  2) Lectures of law College

                                                  3) Retired Judges (Consumer)

                                                  4) Police officers of district and sub division level.

                                                  5) Counselor from Marketing

                                                  6) Social Activities.

                                                  7) DSO. Sikar District and Divisional officers.

       6  Consumers in Dist. Sikar (Rajasthan):-

                                      Man is Social animal – An ancient age he is depend upon society for to full fill his necessity for it be has been using many way i.e. thing exchange by knowledge by cash etc. Class division custom has been running in our country for man’s birth. High and educated class have been exploiting the lower and ir- Literates class for ancient age, Present and future until if we don’t awaken our customers for their rights and duties.

                 In this age al capitalism and globalization, the main objective of each producer is to maximize his profit. In each and every possible way the producer are trying to increase the sale al their products. Therefore, in fulfillment of their aim they forget the Interest of consumers and start exploiting them for example. A overcharging under weighing selling of adulterated and poor quality goods, misleading the consumers by giving false advertisements etc. Thus in order to save himself from being cheated , In this way, consumer awareness means creating awareness of a consumer towards his rights and duties.

                                  So DantaRamgarh Tehsil’s consumer awareness is a need of present days. Since we are inspired to buy different products through advertisement but many of them are not qualitative product . So in this articles Shri Kalyan Women Welfare Society will find the importance of consumer awareness, rights of consumer’s and how to get redressed with helping of Ministry of Consumer affairs, Govt of India.

7.     Objectives:-

                        OUR MISSINON IS TO MAKE SOCIETY FREE FROM ALL TYPE OF EXPLOITATION and-

1.    To establish a disciplined and devoted institution and develop a consumer movement by cultivating moral values, dedication, trusteeship and love of nation

2.    To create Consumer awareness by educating them about their duties and rights.

3.    To help Consumers to obtain their right and project them from unfair trading.

4.    To educate all citizens and consumers by lectures, meeting, workshop, exhibition and audio-video visual aids about consumer movement, consumer protection and consumer welfare. 

5.    To establish an academy or research or research centre to study Indian Consumer policy and to establish such centers in school , college and university.

6.    To solve consumer grievance in consumer forums and demand justice for consumers.

7.    To make efforts to form about price, distribution and sale of goods.

8.    To Protect all the consumer economically and socially.

9.    To work with different co-related of equal thoughts on state and national Level for welfare of the consumers.

10.  To educate latest consumer and trading rules i.e. GST, income tax sell tax etc.

8.  Time frame and participants:-

Ø The Program me should be 2 Days.

Ø There should be all east 200 participants in each camp.

Ø  First session of the first day should be devoted to the introduction of ministry of Consumer affairs and some basic information on other related consumer affairs.

9.  Syllabus for Legal Awareness Program me:-

               With the aim to impart Knowledge, which may be useful in day- to day life, the ministry purpose the following syllabus (The topics may be selected keeping the target group in view, issues of local importance must be included wherever appropriate)

             It has been observed very often that consumer does not get right goods and services. He is charged a very high price or adulterated or low quality good are sold to him. Therefore It is necessary to make him aware following facts classify the need of making consumer aware.

(a) To achieve maximum satisfaction:-

                          The Income of every individual is limited. He wants to buy maximum good and service with his income. He gets full satisfaction only by this limited adjustment , Therefore It is necessary that he should get the goods which are measured appropriately and he should not be cheated in and way. For this he should be made aware.

 

(b) Protection against exploitation:-

                 Producers and sellers exploit the Consumers in many ways as under weighting, taking more price than the market price, selling duplicate goods etc. Big companies through their advertisement also mislead the consumers . Consumer awareness shield them from the expiation by produces and sellers.

(c) Control over Consumption of harmful good:-

                   There are several such goods available in market which cause harm to consumers i.e. cigarette , tobacco liquor etc. We are to aware for it not buy such good.

(d) Right to Safety:-

                  This is essential for producers that they should obey the rules really to the safety of consumers. If the producers don’t obey safety rules the consumer can complain against it.

(e) Right to Choose:-

     A consumer has the right to select and good or services when he buys. The reason is that the seller Pressurizes him to buy that thing while he does not want to buy. In this situation he can take legal action against the seller.

(f)  Right to Information:-

            In the year 2005 the Govt. of India has made law know as right to information The right to Information about all the activities of the Govt. dept. The consumers also have right to get the consumer education.

(g) Right to Redressed:-

          The Consumers have right to redressed against the not feasible bargaining and exploitation.

(h) To create habit to take bills with all transaction :-

            It is must to take every bargain’s bill from the seller, to create such habit of consumers.

(i)    To Create habit to pay by banking/ PTM/ cheque:-  

         It is must to pay through banking, PTM’ cheque etc so that our Nations prime Ministry Mr. N.K. Modi dream change into practical.

    In 1986 the consumer protection Act was passed by the Govt of India which called COPRA. We should not only introduce with it but also awaken our customers to use it.

10.Local Issue:-

 

     During the programmers emphasis should be laid on discussing he local issues and the social practices prevalent in the society. The specific issues like low weight and take high rate, duplicate goods, misleading consumers, not to give bills etc. consumer law, consumer Court etc. should be discussed in a detailed manner.

11.Faculty:-

     The awareness on the above syllabus could be imparted with the help of District Legal Service Authority, Law Professors, Retired judges, Senior Advocates and Social Activities.  

12.Methodology:-

 Theatrical knowledge cannot prepare person for challenges in real life. Thus mare stress should be laid on imparting knowledge through discussions street plays role play, puppet shows drama, interactions and meeting with social activates etc

1.   200 Rural including youths, women, students and inhabitants will aware for their consume’s rights.

2.   They will know first time about consumer’s rights.

3.   They will save their exploitation.

4.   They will aware digital payment mode and use their practical life.

5.   If 200 people know their consumer rights they will tell their hairs. Such the way Dantaramgarh tehsil will awakened for their consumer rights.

6.    The merchant of Dantaramgarh will cannot exploit the awakened customers.

7.   The administration will co-operate the consumer for their rights.

8.   The inhabitants will know Give India and Shri Kalyan Women Welfare Society’s Welfare activities.
