Uma Manovikasa Kendram - Special School for Intellectual Disabed Children

Most of the Intellectual Disabled were not taken care due to various reasons. Even for meeting their Personal needs like Toileting, Dressing, Eating etc. even parents also are not able to give attention towards their disability. It needs Rehabilitation Services for such children through Special Education, Therapeutic Intervention and Vocational Training etc.

We are taking action such a way that Early Identification and Intervention, Special Education by qualified Rehabilitation Professionals, Therapeutic Services with trained therapists and proving suitable vocational training for uplifting their inner hidden skills for the purpose of their survival. Giving proper Counseling and Guidance to their parents and siblings for treating their wards in the house also to continue their activities even after school hours .  Where and whenever necessary proper medication and Teaching and Learning Materials are providing.

Their skill behaviours have increased and problem behaviours are reduced. Most of the Children with Intellectual Disabled are cope up their Daily Living Activities. They are able to follow the instructions which the Special Educators are passing. They are developing their academic skills, social skills, vocational skills and mainstreeting in to the society. Earlier their parents were getting fed-up with those children at their houses, Now they are relaxing while sending to the Special School and happy to note that the changes found with their children.
