Unlocking Opportunity: Training Ladakh’s Youth & Entrepreneurs for Success

Ladakh’s breathtaking beauty and rich culture attract countless visitors, but local youth and small business owners often struggle to benefit from the tourism industry. Firgun Social Initiatives Foundation aims to change this through our Youth Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment Program. This initiative will empower 20 community resource persons (CRPs) and 80 local entrepreneurs in Leh, Diskit, and Hanle with essential skills in business management, digital marketing, and customer service.

By building the capacity of homestay operators and small business owners, we will foster a resilient, community-based tourism economy. Our program helps local businesses reduce their reliance on external platforms, enabling them to capture more revenue and improve their livelihoods. The CRPs we train will provide ongoing support, ensuring long-term success for these ventures.
