The relentless heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat and Kerala have caused widespread devastation, affecting nearly half a million people. With more rainfall predicted, the situation is expected to deteriorate, putting countless others at risk.
Flooding, connectivity disruptions, and loss of life have become a grim reality for many. The districts of Vijayawada, Guntur, Hyderabad, Vadodara, Wayanad have been particularly hard hit, with both being completely marooned. Thousands have been displaced from their homes and are in urgent need of shelter, food, clean water, and essential supplies.
The situation is critical in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and immediate action is required to prevent further loss of life and property damage. This campaign had earlier raised funds to help the people of Wayanad. Donors from all over India rallied together to support the victims of the deadly landslides. Their generous contributions enabled our NGO partner ActionAid Association to provide vital aid on the ground. The organisation distributed shelter material, food, and medical supplies to those affected, offering a lifeline during this difficult time. With the support of our donors, we were able to make a tangible difference in the lives of the people of Wayanad.
