Story

Gramin Vikas Sansthan Misson Is a Pioneering Organization of Self-Motivated People Comprising of Rural Women's Doctors, Teachers, Journalists, Students, And Educationists Who Have Taken up The Challenge of Eradicating Stigmas Surrounding Menstruation And Sexual Abuse in Order to Make The Society a Better And a Safer Place For Girls And Women.

Gramin Vikas Sansthan Has Been Able to Educate Over 125 Rural Area Women's Rural School Students on Menstrual Health And Has Also Encouraged Them to Speak up Against Sexual Abuse.

In The Upcoming Project in Collaboration With The Donors Friends, Gramin Vikas Sansthan Will Engage With Students of 250 Rural 250 Government Schools in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh to Educate Them on The Aforementioned Topics. Additionally, The Team Will Also Distribute The Menstrual Awareness Books Called 'Mahawari Ki Kahani' Along With The '5p Pouch'. The menstrual Awareness Book Has Been Carefully Conceptualized By a Gynecologist And Illustrates Effectively The Right And Essential Knowledge About Menstruation. It Is The Lack of This Knowledge That Renders a Girl Vulnerable To Adopting Regressive Menstrual Practices And The Motive Behind This Book Is To Eradicate The Stigma Around Menstruation While Replacing It With Appropriate Knowledge.

The 5p Pouch (That Contains Panty, Pad, Paper, Polythene And Paper Soap) Is An Easy Technique To Maintain Hygiene And To Be Always Prepared For The Period. We Believe That Every Girl Should Have This Pouch So That She Never Has To Be Scared For Her Period.

Therefore We Appeal To You To Help Us In Spreading These Two Essential Resources Amongst As Many Girls As Possible So That They May Never Have To Be Ashamed of a Process That Is Not Only Natural But Also Imperative For Existence of Mankind.

You May Contribute For As Many Sets of Pouches And Books As You Like.

Each Set of The Awareness Book And a Pouch Costs Rs.120 INR (Rs.60 For The Book And Rs.60 For The Pouch)

Our Current Target Is To Make These Sets Available To At Least 1,5,000 Students And Rural Women's In The Rural Area And Government Schools of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, India When We Host Sensitization Sessions For Them.

We Are Confident That Your Contribution Will Help Bring About Positive Change In The Society.
