Vidya Vaani - Knowledge over voice

We are here to raise funds for two valuable causes:

• Setting up audio visual library for visually impaired kids
• Organizing talent fest for visually impaired kids

For a child to develop into a mature, informed, and literate adult he or she must have access to ideas, facts, theories, attitudes, and vicarious emotional experiences. When it comes to blind persons, especially blind children need access to reading materials. To a blind person, library service is a critical often the only source of reading material. While a sighted person has not only his or her public library but the local book store, newsstands and book clubs, to supply him or her with reading material, a blind person cannot expect to get recorded or Braille literature from these sources or normal library.

Bhumi have taken this initiative of establishing specialized small library for them in their shelter homes with computers contains reading and speech software, audio books, Braille books etc.

Bhumi’s audiobook recording team with the motto “Your voice can change someone’s life” are already helping multiple visually impaired kids shelter homes with recorded audio books. Audio book recordings can be used effectively with proper access. Setting up audio visual library will give that space for kids to utilize the knowledge through hearing the recordings. Let audio books be good companion for them in boosting their learning skills and emotional intelligence.

Every child is unique with special talents. We can showcase their talent by giving an opportunity to present their performances in a bigger platform. Children are like flower, we can make them bloom with tremendous activities. Organizing talent fest brings out their innate passion. We are planning to invite all the visually impaired kids from shelter homes and conduct a talent fest for them tentatively after corona situation comes under control.
