Vocational Skills Training & Day care Occupation

The main Focus of the Project is to Empower people with different disabilities towards fruitful occupation / employability.

Target beneficiaries: People (males / females) with any kind of disability (physical, mental, Cerebral Palsied, Autism, Accident recovered, etc., etc.) and any level (mild, moderate or severe) aged 18 to 35 years.

Skills targeted:

Basic skills start with self-help activities, personal grooming, team work, behavior, attention span, etc. during the observation period by special educators with special training kits….

Second stage, students are trained in basic activities like taking measurements, painting, pasting, cutting, etc. Communication skills are also taught at this stage…

MBA Foundation is a non-profit public charitable trust, started in January, 2002 by a group of parents, to answer their traumatic question “ After us, what?”, for their wards with special needs.

Our Integrated Care Services Are Early Childhood Intervention, Vocational Training & Value Adding Activities. Sheltered Work Unit, Life Care Including Residential Facilities. Assessment & Therapy, Training The Trainers. Education Under NIOS. Placement Services.

Our success in past experience of 15 years in such training programs, has shown us the way ahead. Besides self-sustenance, this has helped them to be occupied and cheerful. They avail of all the rehab facilities at our centre like Therapy, Counseling, relaxation activities and celebrations, building up their self-confidence and morale..

Our students’ strength has risen from a mere 7 in 2002 to more than 900 who have benefitted through our various rehab programs. At least 7 to 8 students have moved to Mumbai either with parents or into our life care facility. 75 youngsters are working in multinationals and other organisations and are totally independent. Presently we have about 130 regular trainees in our care centre, getting trained to make value adding items of daily use.
