Vocational Training cum Rehabilitation Center for Intellectually Diasabled, 58 beneficiaries, Qr No C49-50, AG's Colony, Erragada, Hyderabad.

This project by Parents' Group was set up to explore and develop the skills of the intellectually disabled and engage them to make productive contribution to the society in their own capacity. This is supported partly by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment but the grants are decreasing gradually. It is also patronized by CAG of India, High Court, Hyderabad, and by M/s Aurbindo Pharma as CSR project. The sustenance of the project is at stake due to decreasing funds. This project requires perpetual funds as the intellectually disabled cannot become self reliant and lead an independent normal life.

Organization is imparting free training to intellectually disabled young adults, age above 18 years, in manufacturing stationary items like file pads, file covers, envelopes, note books, etc, and employing them in their own sheltered workshop and providing incentive stipend ranging from Rs 400 to 1250/- per month. These products are supplied to High Court, Hyderabad, other government offices and Schools.

The most neglected section of the society is given an opportunity to develop their potential and be engaged in meaningful activity and provide some relief to the parents the time they spent in the organization. Apart from the work, education tours are also conducted to the disabled persons and their parents to various tourist places in India. They are also encouraged to take part in Special Olympic Bharat Sports and Games and most recently they were all taken to the movie Bahuballi-2. These activities give them an opportunity to mingle with the mainstream of the society.
