Where Art Meets Action: Support Wastepickers and Cleaner Cities

Art can inspire change—but only action sustains it.

This fundraiser is part of a photography exhibition hosted at the India Habitat Centre on May 8–9, led by Vinod Thomas, a globally respected voice in sustainability and environmental policy.

As part of this initiative, all proceeds and contributions are being directed to support the work of Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group.

This collaboration brings together art, purpose, and impact—creating an opportunity for each visitor to move beyond appreciation and contribute to real change.

Behind every clean city are wastepickers—handling what we discard, often without recognition, safety, or fair income.

Through your support, Chintan is working to:

• Improve livelihoods and dignity of wastepickers
• Strengthen recycling and circular economy systems
• Reduce pollution and landfill waste
• Build more inclusive and sustainable cities

Chintan processes over 11+ tons of waste daily and works closely with communities, recyclers, and institutions to create long-term systemic change.
