Yashodeep Cycles for Girls' Education as part of Umeed 1000 Cyclothon

Yashodeep Pawar, who has already cycled for 3500+ kilometers through the various years of Umeed 1000, is of the opinion that giving to the society enriches your own life in beautiful ways, all the while adding to your stack of good Karma.

He believes Cyclothon has changed him as a person. In his words, "the joy one gets from giving back cannot be expressed in words. It just has to be felt. The cramps, sweat, blisters and pain all seem worth it."

Yashodeep interacted with the children of Udbhav School during the Cyclothon last year, along with RBL Bank. This is his tiny bit towards realising those children's dream of going to school.He believes the moments will remain with him for a lifetime.

This year, Yashodeep will be cycling for Udbhav School, which focuses on Providing holistic English medium education to low income group girl children in urban slumsin Hyderabad. IIMA Alumni Association Hyderabad Chapter Charitable Trust tookover the school (facing imminent closure) located in Rasoolpura, a slum area of Hyderabad, designated as a notified slum by the government in April, 2013. The IIMA alumni are spurred by the vision that all children should have the same opportunities. The school was renamed as “Udbhav School” by IIMAAA Hyderabad Chapter Charitable trust. Therefore, the Udbhav management is committed to providing the Udbhav children opportunities and education for their all round growth and development. Their vision is to transform the lives of at least 10,000 underprivileged children and their families by 2025.
