Your Support Can Create a Forever Home for Autistic Adults

Ananda-the assisted living facility in rural Gurgaon, Haryana, which is currently home to 15 autistic adults. Here, residents live in a safe, autism-friendly environment and participate in structured daily routines, vocational training, and recreational activities that promote independence, self-worth, and well-being.

Across India, there is a severe shortage of long-term residential options for autistic adults—especially for families who worry about where their loved ones will live when they are no longer able to provide care. Responding to this urgent need, AFA has begun expanding its existing residential facility in rural Gurgaon.

We are constructing an additional 20,000 sq. ft., two-storeyed building, which will allow us to welcome 15 to 20 more autistic adults along with their carers. The expanded facility will include:

·       Shared and individual living spaces

·       Apartments for high support need adults who can live independently

·       Therapy and recreational areas, including a therapy pool

·       Training spaces

·       Safe, accessible, and calming environments designed specifically for autistic adults

The total cost of this expansion is ₹8 crore. With the generous support of donors and well-wishers, we have already raised part of the funds, and construction is currently underway. We plan to open the facility to new residents in the second half of 2026.

To make these new living spaces truly functional and welcoming, we need your support. Over the next three months, we aim to raise ₹50 lakh for this project.
