In the silent corners of Bihar’s slums and streets, countless little girls are fighting unseen battles. Many have been abandoned, orphaned, or pushed into the dark world of abuse, trafficking, and exploitation — long before they even learned to dream. Hunger replaces education. Fear replaces childhood.
Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti (DVAS) stands beside these girls — to protect, heal, and rebuild their lives with dignity. For the past three decades, DVAS has been rescuing and rehabilitating girls who have faced sexual abuse, trafficking, and extreme neglect.
Through education, nutrition, and mental health support, DVAS provides a new beginning — a safe space to learn, heal, and grow. Each centre ensures every rescued child receives nutritious food, counselling, and access to formal schooling.
Your small act of kindness can protect a child from abuse, bring her back to school, and give her a safe meal each day
Donate today — give her safety, education, and a reason to smile again.
Proposed Budget Summary (₹7,25,000)Project: Nutrition, Education & Dignity Support for 1000 Marginalised and Rescued Girls
Duration: 1 Year
To bring hope and dignity to 1000 marginalised and rescued girls, Dalit Vikas Abhiyan Samiti proposes a holistic intervention focusing on nutrition, education, and personal well-being.
A total amount of ₹3,00,000 will be utilised for nutrition support, providing nutritious meals and food kits through community kitchens and learning centres. This will ensure that every girl receives at least one healthy meal daily, combating malnutrition and hunger.
An allocation of ₹2,25,000 is proposed for educational support and teaching-learning materials (TLM), which includes books, notebooks, stationery, and creative aids to enhance learning levels. Ten learning centres will serve as safe spaces for continuous education and mental development.
A further ₹1,50,000 will be invested in clothing and tool kits, ensuring each girl has access to essential clothing, footwear, hygiene kits, and dignity packs to restore confidence and self-respect.
Additionally, ₹50,000 is earmarked for monitoring and documentation, ensuring accountability, transparency, and measurable outcomes.
