YUVAAN COVID19 RELIEF ( Phase 2)

Maharashtra is one of the worst hit state with largest number of Covid-19 cases in India. Ahmednagar, one of the largest district in Maharashtra ranks 10th with active 27,680 Covid positive cases in the country. ( As on April 28th, 2021) This second wave sent many more into a fragile health care system, critically short of hospital beds, oxygen, ventilators, medicines and food. The death toll in the second wave is higher than the first wave. Many children have lost their earning parent due to COVID-19. As a result, their future is bleak. 

As a non profit and non political social organization, YUVAAN has been doing strong Covid-19 Relief Work at Ahmednagar since more than a year. YUVAAN has touched over 35,000 lives through our Covid-19 relief programs across 35 villages & 3 cities of Ahmednagar district.

1) Urgent Relief Kit having Groceries and Sanitary pads.

2) Improvement of health infrastructure at rural Covid Hospitals.

3) Support for the education of Covid-19 affected children / students.

4) Employable skill training to widows for making eco friendly products at their Home through our social Start-up ECO YUVAAN

Our COVID Relief Work is continuing in the following focus areas:

• 6275 benefited from Dry Ration Kits which were distributed to support families suffering from the financial crisis. 
• 15,000 Cooked Meals were served to migrant workers, daily-wage earners and others.  
• 4 Government Hospitals were supported with Medical Equipment including Beds, ICU Monitors, O2 Machines, Ventilator and Supplies worth Rs.66,00,000 to argument the healthcare efforts of the government. 
• 15,000 Masks were distributed to control the spread of infection. 
• 400 deprived children were benefited through educational material to help students continue learning.
• 12,365 migrants were benefited through our BACK2HOME program during lockdown.
