The porous Indo-Nepal border is a potential source of the spread of coronavirus in India. There are about 40 remote villages we have identified along the Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh with extremely poor and backward communities. As the Covid-19 pandemic spreads to rural locations, these people are left unprepared and unequipped to protect themselves from being infected. While the government is taking measures to spread awareness and create vaccination camps, they are not accessible to many vulnerable sections of the community, like the aged, disabled, cancer patients, pregnant women and children. Many are unable to visit the camps themselves, which are in nearby villages. There is a need to reach out to them at their doorstep to educate them, protect them and prepare them to fight the pandemic. 
 Jan Manas Vikas Sansthan has been working closley with the backward communities along Indo-Nepal border in Uttar Pradesh for many years, through poverty alleviation, education, healthcare and women empowerment. Today, as COVID-19 reaches these remote villages, we are aware of the critical need to prepare these communities to protect themselves and access the facilities provided by the government. We have identified 40 remote villages along Indo-Nepal border to reach about 80,000 vulnerable people from extremely backward communities. We will work towards prevention of COVID-19 in these communities through door-to-door awareness drives, provision of masks and safety kits, and transportation to nearest vaccination camps in the area. We will also support the poor in post-COVID care through provision of nutrotious food and supplements. Join us in this critical and urgent COVID-prevention drive.
