If the children don’t relent even then, the abusers put chilli powder so that children will say “yes” because of the burning of the skin… There are teeth marks on their bodies, and their vaginal parts are burnt. When children stay in these conditions, it is painful even to hear,” says Lalitha SA of the Society for Participatory Integrated Development (SPID), while talking about many heart-rending stories of trafficked children in red-light areas. In over three decades, the team of SPID led by Lalitha, has saved over 3000 children from the red-light areas in Delhi, such as GB Road, and many from clutches of sex trafficking. While Lalitha has also helped many women escape the clutches of being forced into sex work, the SPID is focused on rescuing children and giving them a better life.Sadly, many more children need to be rescued and need a loving home. As per Census 2011, In India, the population with disabilities is around 26.8 million, constituting 2.21% of India’s total population, Majority (69%) resided in rural areas. People with Disabilities (PWD) often have lower education accomplishments, poorer health conditions, higher poverty rates and less economic engagement than people without disabilities. They are disabled not only by their bodies but by society as well. The major issues are:<ul><li>Health: A large number of disabilities are preventable, However, the health sector especially in rural India has lack of facilities to react proactively to disability </li><li>Education system is not inclusive for disabilities in regular schools such as availability special schools, access, trained teachers, and availability of educational materials.</li><li>Employment: Even though many disabled adults are capable of productive work, disabled adults have far lower employment or entrepreneurs rates than the general population. where much less disabled are employed or self-employed.</li><li>Accessibility in buildings, transportation, access to services etc still remain a major challenge.</li><li>Discrimination/Social Exclusion held by the families of the disabled, and often the disabled themselves.</li><li>Poor implementation of policies and schemes have been laid down with an aim to empower the disabled, their enforcement face many challenges.</li></ul> 
 Various Actions will be taken out during project period.<ul><li>04 SHGs and 60 Individuals, Total 80 Person with disabilities particularly Women will be target group. </li><li>Orientation cum training will provide to staff, relevant stakeholders to increase knowledge/skill about Individual/SHGs on livelihoods, business plan, marketing etc. Issues will discuss about barriers of effective function of Individual/SHG and plan will make for mitigation of barriers.</li><li>PWDs Management training will provide to leaders on importance of records maintain, role and responsibilities, increasing income sources through SHGs/Individual, formation process of federation and business plan be finalised as well.</li><li>Vocational/Entrepreneurship training will provide for improving the skill in farm and non-farm sectors i.e. Tailoring, Spice processing, artificial jewellery, petty shops, agriculture and livestock etc. After getting involved in the SHG livelihood activity, Engaging PwD will not only help in economic empowerment but also contribute to building self-confidence as well.</li><li>Market Linkage Training will provide to PWD members on market scenario, challenges, strategies, solutions in marketing, packaging, branding through direct contacts and digital Technology. PWDs will participate in different exhibitions or fairs with their products which will facilitate the PWDs in not only utilizing their expertise as source of livelihood but also help them in enhancing their income.</li></ul> 
 The project would empower and involve disabled people, and remove the barriers to their inclusion and participation, the target community will be able to function independently in the end-goal and employment will be first step towards their empowerment.The immediate impact will be gainful employment by the PWDs and softer aspects like confidence, attitude, reliability, etc. The PWDs and their families will pay a significant role in impact the overall satisfaction and shift from non-income to become earning member of society.Positive impact would be generated not just limited to making PWDs candidates financially-independent but also several initiatives will be taken for improving in health, education, employment, accessibility, discrimination, enactment of policies and schemes etc.The project will promote employment to disabled people including a strong moral and ethical case for inclusion, diversity, equal rights, right based advocacy.The PWDs will train in The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, will helpful to understand and avail of various poverty alleviation programmes, schemes and enhance economic growth.
