Aadhaar Samajik Sanstha is a Trust registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. The major focus of the organization is to create awareness among the marginalized about importance of education, personal/community health and hygiene and nutrition.Background: Migrant/Construction workers generally hail from villages and migrate to metro cities in search of employment. Low socio-economic conditions and lack of education are the factors which force them to work as construction labourers. Many times, they struggle to purchase necessary household items which fulfil their basic needs. The children of migrant workers living at the construction sites, lead a nomadic life-style, live in vulnerable conditions, deprived from the education system, engaged in household and construction work very early, malnourished and therefore facing various behavioural problems.The priority of the migrant workers is to earn livelihood. The preference for educating their children in kept behind while struggling to acquire a basic livelihood. This cycle goes on till generations and the parents are not able to give importance or afford a good education for their children.Methodology: Our project to run an educational activity Centre (Aadhaar Baal Aangan) lays down a strong foundation for the development of currently 548 children of Construction Labourers from the age group of 1 to 15 years at 12 construction sites across Pune &amp; PCMC areas through ensuring education, nutrition, health services, recreation, protection and community participation at construction sites.The project promotes holistic development with a focus on learning capacity for the children. This is carried out at the child friendly activity centres on the construction sites. These centres are instrumental in promoting free, inclusive, equitable and joyful opportunities to attain full potential of the child. To cover nutrition and health, a provision of nutritious meal is ensured and both preventive and curative approaches of health are introduced to address the needs of the child.Children at Aadhaar Baal Aangan belong to poor socio-economic background. To fulfil the extreme basic needs of the family, their parents work as labourers at construction sites at low wages leaving them at Aadhaar Baal Aangan during their working hours. In this regards, Aadhaar Samajik Sanstha has taken an initiative to break this chain and ensure a place where children of migrant workers can learn up to their fullest potential and further improve the standard of living of their families. The organization has made the provision of imparting age appropriate non formal education and hygienically prepared breakfast and lunch.

The children of construction workers living at the construction sites lead a nomadic lifestyle, live in vulnerable conditions, are deprived of the education system, engaged in household and construction work very early, are malnourished and therefore face various behavioural problems. 
 Our project promotes holistic development with a focus on learning capacity for the children of construction labourers in the age group from 1 to 16 years. This is carried out at the child-friendly activity centres on the construction sites. These centres are instrumental in promoting free, inclusive, equitable and joyful opportunities to attain the full potential of the child. To cover nutrition and health, a provision of nutritious meals is ensured and both preventive and curative approaches to health are introduced to address the needs of the child. 
 We foresee the children of construction labourers doing a dignified occupation in the future. If the children wish to be in the same occupation as their parents, we foresee them becoming skilled labourers or handling modern machines used in the construction industry. This would propel the next generation towards a better standard of life.
