Oldage Care and Support Program Asahay Bardhakshya (Helpless Oldage) at Baikunthapur and its neighboring villages in Kultali community development Block Sunderban to serve the underprivileged suffering aged people, especially the aged in acute need of care and concern. Elderly are an integral part of a population of any country who owe respect and attention equally like any other section.However,due to changing family structure and modernization, elderly population is facing inevitable challenges to live their life respectfully. Loneliness, negligence and less importance, illness due to ageing and against lack of treatment and diets are the most of the treacherous conditions which elderly are facing.Sundarban is highly migration prone area. Young people both women and men migrate to other cities for searching jobs and left their old aged parents and spouses including children. Many children lost father by attacking tigers and crocodiles while moving in forest to collect honey, crabs and fuel woods. Both children and old aged people are need for holistic care.We the implementing organisation, BTS trying to supply dry foods , emergency medical care and other utilities to 21 age old people without help and supports in their huts. Our present target is to increase up to 50 such destitute old people in dire distress and poverty, carelessness and homeless situation. one sponsor can extend their supports to as many number as possible up to 50. 
 We are keen to stay beside the aged ones with supporting a Dry Ration Kits per month of Rs. 800.00 including Rice, Dal, Edible oil, Potato, Onion, Puffed Rice, Nutrela , turmeric and chilly powder, Sugar, Biscuits, etc.Emergency Health Care including supply of emergency medicines in urgent or emergency need.Supply of Dress, Clothing and other utilities as per need to live in his/her hut or in a homelessness situation. 
 We would like to revive their energy and physical strength alongwith wellness situation in the hut. Next Our aim is to make them strong and supportive to their families to take part in different care takings. Restoration of age old dignity and healthier life are also our wish to see. Create an age old relaxation and a life free of oldage sufferings.OUr intention is to keep him/her in the same family not sending them to any oldage home at all.

Feed and support the weak feeble aged in coastal villages of Sunderban West Bengal

Coastal blocks of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal are an ecologically fragile and economically vulnerable district where there has been massive migration since cyclone Aila May, 2009 and Amphan 2020 onwards. Indian women and girls who live in these areas have a particularly difficult life with limited scopes and choices. Due to lack of education and opportunity, many find themselves married in their teen-age years and it is clear that this practice forces girls to a downward spiral of dropping out of school, teen-age pregnancy, dependency, abuse, and malnutrition. The parents are so poor and economically weak to bear expenses to send them schools. BTS has started Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) whereby in Rs 8500/year we enable a poor but bright girl child to be literate. We provide tuition supports, books, educational materials like pen/pencils, reference books, school uniforms, emergency health check-up. Each student is carefully selected based upon academic performance and economic assessments. Our volunteers visit student’s homes to get a better understanding of their financial situation. Till date BTS has been able to provide Child Sponsorship to 86 children with supports from various persons in India as well as abroad. Duration of support is usually 5-10 years to pass at least Graduation level from a recognised University. BTS has supported 86 poor school children in need. They are now scoring high in the exams in schools. Parents are convinced and this acts a boost to let their girls pursue education. Early marriage and child abuse are minimized due to our motivation and counselling sessions. Help us in helping more girls.
