The Home at the HAL Airport Road provides residential/home care, education, medical/hospitalization, and vocational training facilities to physically disabled girls from economically weaker sections of the society. The second home is in Whitefield for elderly and severally disabled women who have no family to fall back on and will be given care and comfort in their sunset years.

Currently the Cheshire Home has 25 residents of both women senior citizens and women with disabilities. They are provided with free boarding, accommodation, medical care and a supportive environment to live comfortably and keep them busy. All residents require some medical care resulting from physical disability and age related disorders.   Both elderly and physically disabled women residents are from economically poorer section. They are usually been neglected or disowned by their families – especially when they become unproductive and unable to engage in any of the household chores or earn any incomes to the family.   The women who are enrolled into the home are usually weak, mal-nourished,  suffer from the age related disorders and depressed.  At older age, women suffer from the age related disorders such as diabetes, hyper tension, cataract, low vision, thyroid, arthritis etc.   Similarly, the women with severe physical disabilities need medications and care for two reasons; (1) Health problems caused due to disabilities, as mobility is less and frequent accidents (falling) (2) They need medication and therapies to reduce the impact of disabilities.   
 All residents are provided with regular health check up by a qualified doctor. Based on the prescription, The medicine is categorized and segregated as per the prescription and kept in a separate box for each resident. A trained nurse administers the medicine as per prescription. Also, physiotherapy, water-therapy etc given based on the needs. Simple exercises, walking and morning sunbath are other activities to keep the residents healthy. In case of emergencies, the resident is taken to the nearby hospital and treatment is given as per the requirement.Besides, nutritious and hot food is being served
