Dev Pratap and Chandni know what it means to go to bed hungry. They grew up in slums, picking rags and doing odd jobs to survive. There were days when they didn’t know where the next meal would come from. But even then, they chose to share what little they had. With the few rupees they could save, they started feeding children. They worked as waiters in restaurants and took on every possible job to keep their small effort alive.Today, that effort has grown into a full-fledged mission. We work towards creating awareness by conducting educational sessions across schools, colleges, societies,etc about various aspects of animal welfare. Our shelter is also an educational centre where we invite field trips to get a first hand experience about animals.

Started in 2019, Citizens for Animal Protection Foundation is a registered organisation based in Thane working towards various avenues of animal welfare like rescue and rehabilitation, relief work, animal Cruelty, animal rights &amp; advocacy, animal welfare awareness and animal shelter. Our mission is to create a better structure for all the animals in need. Our aim is to expand the circle of compassion towards animals among people. We are building a shelter called Freedom Farm in Thane for all kinds of animals as an environmentally sustainable critical care and educational centre. It is the first of its kind in Thane.
