Yuva Unstoppable

Sense International India, also known as Sense India, was established in 1997 as the first and only non-governmental organisation to support the development of comprehensive services for people with deafblindness and multiple disabilities throughout India. Sense India works with local organisations to develop sustainable services for children and adults with deafblindness and collaborates with the government at centre and state levels. We have reached to provide needs-based services to around 80,000 children with deafblindness directly through 60 partner NGOs in 23 states of India, and through collaboration with the government’s national Samagra Shiksha - ‘inclusive education’ programme. With our effort, children with deafblindness and multiple disabilities have been identified and are being prepared to attend mainstream schools. We are also partnering with leading organisations in Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Malaysia to train educators and setup needs-based services for deafblind.  Sense India advocates for the recognition and realisation of rights of persons with deafblindness with the government and our biggest achievement has been recognition of ‘Deafblindness’ in the Rights of Persons with Disability Act 2016 and their rights are now protected. The inclusion of vaccination for Rubella under the Universal Immunization Programme is another significant achievement of our advocacy initiatives. We are a member of several Central Government and State level advisory groups. Sense India is accredited by the United Nations and enjoys consultative status on deafblindness.

“The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved”- Mother Teresa‘Elder Care Trust’, a non-profit organization that is committed to providing inclusive healthcare to elderly patients. Elder Care Trust is raising funds for its care center for the terminally ill senior citizens in Ahmedabad.At present, we have around 30 senior citizens at our care center and all of them suffer from terminal diseases like dementia, Alzheimers, cancer, paralysis, etc. Many of them are too weak to walk up to the washroom and need constant care and attention. We strive to provide them with the best preventive, curative and rehabilitative care, with an intention to minimize their physical pain and suffering.We have a team of committed caregivers, who take care of all their needs with utmost dedication and love. A caregiver is assigned for every two members so that they receive personalized attention. Every day, they are served four freshly prepared meals along with dietary supplements like milk and juices as per their needs. We also provide them geriatric support and counseling so that they are never overwhelmed by their condition and understand the specific ‘dos and don’ts’.At ElderCare Trust, we understand that giving our members the best medical care and alleviating their physical pain is just not enough. Senior citizens at our center have been contributing to society all their life and they deserve all the happiness, joy and love during this last leg of their lives. So, we aim to create a holistic environment for them. With an intention to encourage companionship, various outdoor and indoor recreational activities are carried out on a daily basis. We celebrate festivals and birthdays with gusto and also organize fun events like comedy shows or ‘yoga for the elderly’ on a timely basis.At ‘Elder Care Trust’, we have so far had the privilege to serve and learn from more than 100 senior citizens since our inception. One thing that I have realized, is that these ‘veterans of life’ are the guiding light to an otherwise insensitive society lacking in compassion and that we need them much more than they need us. Their profound wisdom and the unconditional love they shower upon us is something to be treasured and they are to be cherished, rather than to be inhumanly deserted as they reach the twilight of their lives.

Elder Care Trust

TIDE is a start-up educational reforms organization founded in November 2014 that aims to bring about a sustainable change in the educational system. As of October 2022, we have impacted the lives of 32,500+ individuals. We have multiple programs that work with different aspects of education ranging from direct education provision to teacher capacity development and school improvement. All the programs are independent and act as an NGO in their own right though they follow a similar guideline i.e. work on high impact projects, with the aim to create a system that resolves the root cause in a span of 15 years.

Code to Enhance Learning (CEL), a nonprofit based out of Ahmedabad, leverages coding as a tool to build critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and perseverance in children from grades 4 to 9. We have reached 5800+ children till now through our various offerings collaborating with clients and supporters such as Teach for India, Riverside school, Firki, Quest Alliance, K7 Computing, UnLtd India, etc. We offer an engaging, affordable, and confidence-building coding program to children. Indirectly, we also create informed and invested parents and communities in the journey of building 21st-century skills in children. We share an open-source skill-based coding curriculum, place CEL’s trained facilitator in classrooms or train in-house teachers and monitor the progress of children. We also provide opportunities for children to showcase their projects aligned to UN Sustainable Development Goals in front of industry experts and distinguished stakeholders. Our programs include:1) CEL Student Coding Program where our experts directly work with students2) CEL Teacher Coding Program to train teachers to implement the curriculum effectively and efficiently3) CEL Kids Hackathon for students to showcase their code projects aligned to UNs SDGs. One of the key highlights of our program is that 60% of the students who have undergone the training were able to successfully identify a problem around them, brainstorm on solutions with their partners, design the right abstraction, and implement the code without any additional guidance. They also demonstrated the ability to collaborate and share responsibilities as well as persevere and overcome challenges, which reaffirms their confidence. In the next five years, through virtual platforms and tailored content, we aim to reach 1 lakh, underprivileged children. Our goal is to impart 21st-century communication and problem-solving skills to these children so that they are empowered to lead happy, confident lives and be game-changers themselves.
